America's first motorcycle company has come back home to Sturgis, South Dakota! Indian Motorcycle and its rich heritage are proud to call Sturgis "home" once again. Founded in 1901, Indian Motorcycle eventually made its way back to Sturgis in 1936 courtesy of C.F. "Pappy" Hoel, a founding father of the influential motorcycle club the Jackpine Gypsies. Not only did Pappy Hoel's Indian Motorcycle dealership introduce this legendary brand to the Black Hills of South Dakota, he and the Jackpine Gypsies founded the greatest motorcycle riding event in America: the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Sturgis, South Dakota and Indian Motorcycle: two legends of the road, both steeped in proud tradition. It's only right that they be reunited.
Such an iconic brand deserves an equally first-rate dealer that will honor the historic legacy of the Indian name, and Indian Motorcycle Sturgis is that association. From Rapid City to Spearfish, Indian Motorcycle Sturgis will be making noise throughout the Black Hills, and our Lazelle Street retail sales and service dealership is sure to become a year-round destination. As the new authority for everything Indian Motorcycle in west river South Dakota, our dealership proudly carries the entire lineup of Indian Chief Motorcycles, Indian brand parts, and dependable motorcycle service, while also providing hassle-free motorcycle financing for Indian Chief riders. The City of Sturgis and Sturgis Economic Development Corp. are proud to welcome Indian Motorcycle back home to Sturgis!
